Counterfeit or Misleading JVC Products

JVC has been made aware of various Camcorders, Digital Still Cameras and DVD players that are sold under the brand names "MXJVC", "DVxJVC" and "DVJVC. The documentation included with some of these products indicates that JVC is responsible for after sales service.

In addition to the above, there are a few products branded "JVC" that are counterfeit. The most common of these are:

"JVC DV7" 11 Megapixel Enhanced video camera (also labelled as GZ-MC500 on the bottom of the unit).

"JVC DV7" 12 Megapixel Enhanced video camera (also labelled as GZ-MC500 on the bottom of the unit).

These products are NOT genuine JVC products and have no connection whatsoever with JVC.

These products are sold mainly in Spain and The Canary Islands, mainly to tourists. They are also available on some internet auction sites.

Please check the model number and product photograph if available on this website if you have any doubt about the authenticity any such products.
